Director, Library Research Service, Colorado which details the Colorado study
which looked at the relationship between funding of Library media centers and
student achievement. One conclusion was that students at schools with
better-funded Library media centers tend to achieve higher average reading
scores, whether their schools and communities are rich or poor and whether
adults in their community are well or poorly educated.
