Metrowest Year in Review FY2008

 

Participation in continuing education included 269 at 12 full day and 577 at 92 half day workshops, plus 101 participants at workshops Ôto go.Õ The market value of the training for Metrowest members was $143,450.

 

Metrowest welcomed 10 new members.

 

Delivery volume grew by approximately 7% to a new high of 3.3 million items.

 

18 Metrowest libraries signed up to use the new online summer reading program, ReadsinMA.org, with 16,258 children, teens and adults in the Metrowest region participating.

 

Metrowest staff spent approximately 165 hours providing advisory and technical assistance to members, including 37 site visits.

 

The Blog proved a great way to share information with total hits for FY 08 at 159,210 (a 100.05% increase over FY2007).

Our two co-ops (materials and supplies) saved member libraries approximately $1,277,387.

 

Three Metrowest MassCat members became full circulating members on Koha, new open source software; Metrowest MassCat members hold 379,523 records.

 

 

Grand Total value for Metrowest members is $16,104,737. Metrowest returned $11.27 in value of service for every dollar received.
