Sample 6-week Curriculum

Week 1:
Pre-Survey
Introductions/Icebreakers
Library Tour
Tell 2 minute stories to a partner
Discuss: What is storytelling?

Week 2:
Begin story selection
Intro to Blog
Discuss: Internet Safety

Week 3:
Select stories.
Performance
Mentoring
Discuss: What is a good storytelling?

Week 4:
Finalize story
Draw map.
Tell story using map.
Add motions.

Week 5:
Add sounds.
Tell story with motion & sounds
Critique one another.
Discuss: What makes a good audience?

Week 6:
Performance for peers and invited public
Graduation!
Photos, blogging, podcasting
