The LIBRARY NAME is pleased to announce a six week After School Storytelling Club for students in grades 6-8 on DAY OF THE WEEK from TIME to TIME.

The program includes an introduction to the oral tradition of  storytelling, a performance and mentoring session by professional  storyteller, and an opportunity to produce a storytelling program for  AUDIENCE through NAME OF PARTNERING ORGANIZATION. Club members will have access to an online journal to record their progress and audio clips of their stories, and gain skills in Internet safety and using
the library, in addition to storytelling.

Participants who attend five of the six sessions will be awarded a certificate of completion. Club members over the age of 14 will be eligible to use their new storytelling skills to perform for community service credit, or attend a second session of the program as a mentor.

The After School Storytelling Club builds developmental assets of young adults defined by the Search Institute by providing them with opportunities to give back to the community, use time constructively, and work in social groups with their peers and adult
mentors.
