Summary of Results
The Metrowest Region
conducted a Web Based Interlibrary Survey from November 14, 2003 -
November 26, 2003. All member library staff were invited to
participate in the survey. The survey was advertised on the
Metrowest Electronic Mailing List and Minuteman Library Network mailing
lists.
- 57 responses were received with 4 or 8%
from Academics, 39 or 76% from Publics, 4 or 8% from Schools, and 4 or 8% from Special Libraries.
- 58% of the responses indicated they
used the service frequently, 18% occasionally, 14% infrequently, and
11% never.
- For those who have never used the
service, reasons were not enough staff to participate, have not had
the need, use of the Minuteman and Virtual catalog.
- In terms of overall satisfaction with the
mediated ILL service on a scale where 10.0 was the highest score,
the average score was 8.25 with 94% indicating a score of 8.0 or
higher.
- 90% of the responses indicated that
the Wellesley staff are always courteous.
