Under the direction of the Supervisor of Reference Services is responsible for all aspects of Information Technology within the Library. The Assistant Supervisor is responsible for evaluating and implementing all current and future technology services including networking, telecommunications, computer systems and software; oversees all levels of automation including the Library's local area networks, Minuteman Library Network functions, and all independent computer functions; supervises staff training in the operation of all automation Library functions and oversees a training program for patrons. Provides reference assistance at Library reference desks. Must be service oriented and able to work collaboratively with Library supervisors and staff to provide effective services to Library patrons.
Qualifications: Masters of Library Science (MLS) and three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Broad knowledge of operation of library equipment such as personal computers and related software.
