Metrowest LSTA Grant: After School Storytelling Club

Typepad Blog

  1. Receive an email invitation from Beth Gallaway.
  2. Within your email, click the link “Accept the invitation.” This brings you to Typepad.com.
  3. Click “Register for Free” This brings you to the Sign Up: Create an account screen.
  4. Complete the following:
    1. Member Name (Your member name cannot be longer than 25 characters and should not contain any spaces. Use your first name& last initial, OR a screen name you’d like to use)
    2. Create Password (Your password should be between 6 and 15 characters and should not contain spaces.)
    3. Confirm Password (re-type password)
      NOTE: Write down the member name and password you’ve chosen! To get back to typepad, go to http://www.typepad.com.
    4. First Name
    5. Last Name
    6. Email Address
    7. Confirm Email (Enter your email address twice so that we can make sure you'll receive your registration email)
      NOTE: Your name and email address will be used in correspondence between you and the TypePad service. You will not be contacted by any additional parties unless you indicate that you would like to receive offers from TypePad partners.
    8. Birthday (choose month, day and year) .
      NOTE: You must be at least 13 years of age to use Typepad’s service!
    9. Check off box next to “I agree to the TypePad terms of service. (Terms of Service).” Don’t bother to check off anything else.
  5. Click “Continue.” This brings you to the Thanks for Registering Screen that reads: “Now that you're registered, you can accept the invitation to be a guest author at Metrowest LSTA After School Storytelling Club. After you accept the invitation, you'll be taken to your weblog’s listing in TypePad, and you'll be able to begin posting immediately!”
  6. Click “Accept Invitation”You’ll be logged into Typepad and the Metrowest Blog Automatically, and the screen will read: “You have been added as a guest author to the weblog Metrowest LSTA After School Storytelling Club. You can post to the weblog by clicking on the Create a Post link.”
  7. You’ll receive a confirmation email momentarily that will say: “You have signed up for a free Guest Author Account. This account gives you the ability to post to the weblog you have been invited to contribute to. You can review or change your account settings at anytime by viewing your Control Panel, Account Information. To log in to TypePad go to http://www.typepad.com.”
