Advisory and Technical Assistance: These are generally consulting service requests which are taken by phone or by e-mail and responded to by phone, fax, e-mail or shipment of materials from the Metrowest professional collection. May include a site visit. Determined by multiplying the number of consultations and/or requests for technical assistance by value. ($100/hour)
Continuing Education: Value for library of staff attending Region-sponsored workshops. Determined by multiplying the number of library attendees by workshop value. ($150 for workshops less than 3 hours; $250 for workshops over 3 hours)
Delivery: Determined by multiplying the number of items moved through delivery by value ($2.50/item)
Electronic Databases (Statewide & Regional): Average value depends on population/FTEs/other.

Ellison Dies: Determined by multiplying the number of Ellison dies borrowed from the Metrowest Collection by value. ($30/die)
Equipment Loan: Value is $100 per piece of equipment owned.
Interlibrary Loan: Value of mediated ILL requests provided through a contract with Wellesley Free Library. Determined by multiplying the number of ILLs by value. ($20/loan)
MassCat Membership: Value of participation in MassCat is $2,000 minus annual fee of $200.
Materials Cooperative: Represents a 30% saving of library’s estimated amount to spend on materials.
Metrowest Collection: Determined by multiplying the number of items borrowed from the Metrowest Collection by value. ($30/item)
Reference to Libraries: Value of reference support to libraries. Questions from library staff are answered through a contract with Wellesley Free Library. Determined by multiplying the number of questions by value. ($35/question)
Reference to Non- Residents: Value of reference support of non-residents. Questions from non-residents of Wellesley are answered through a contract with Wellesley Free Library.Determined by multiplying the number of questions by value. ($7/question)
Summer Reading Program: Represents a portion of the total amount by library of the cost of the printed materials distributed to support the summer reading program. Does not include any staff time associated with the development and implementation of the program.
Supplies Cooperative: Representsa40% saving of library’s estimated amount to spend on supplies.
GRAND TOTAL: Service Value to Metrowest Regional Library System Member: Total value of Regional services delivered to each library, based on the value of the various services used by that library. 12/06/05
